As Dorset drives forward an ambitious digital transformation programme aligned with both national priorities and local patient needs, this role will be key to delivering improvements that matter – enhancing care, empowering staff, and strengthening digital foundations across Dorset and beyond.

Dorset is committed to its Patient First Improvement System and five shared priorities: seeing patients sooner, being a great place to work, improving patient experience, saving lives and patient safety, and using NHS resources wisely. These values underpin their transformational vision and are embedded in daily care delivery.

The region has a bold digital future. With the ongoing implementation of a new integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across Dorset and into Somerset, the next phase will support better clinical outcomes, safer care, and a seamless experience for patients and clinicians.

As Deputy CDIO, you will support digital maturity, promote interoperability, and champion data-driven decision-making across the system. Collaboration is central to success. Working within a progressive Integrated Care System (ICS), Dorset embraces the national Frontline Digitisation agenda and aims for a more connected and efficient digital ecosystem.

You will collaborate with internal teams, partner organisations, and national bodies to ensure digital capabilities meet modern healthcare needs. Dorset seeks two values-driven digital leaders with strong operational and strategic skills, a deep understanding of healthcare digital technologies, and a passion for improving care through innovation.
