We are currently seeking a HSSE Trainer to join our team in HSSE on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work as part of the Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) team helping to ensure that:

  • All employees and contractors receive high-quality, relevant safety training
  • HSSE compliance is maintained across Ports and Vessels
  • A culture of safety and continuous improvement is embedded across the organisation

The successful candidate will have a proven record in delivering effective training, working in high-risk environments, and supporting compliance with ISO and IMO standards. The role is based in our Hull office, and involves extensive travel across Ports and Vessels (including UK and Europe), with a mix of office-based and on-site training delivery.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Design and deliver HSSE training courses tailored to port and vessel operations
  • Maintain training content in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Deliver inductions and specialist training (e.g. emergency response, environmental protection)
  • Ensure training aligns with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IMO requirements
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma preferred)
  • Have a teaching qualification (e.g. PTTLS/AET Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Be experienced in incident investigation methods such as ICAM
  • Be a confident communicator, able to engage varied audiences
  • Be fluent in English

Desirable:

  • Experience working in maritime, port, or logistics environments
  • Fluent in Dutch
