My client, who is a market leading designer and manufacturer of specialist optical systems, now seeks a Graduate Opto-Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Oxfordshire.

Taking responsibility for mechanical and optical design/development, you will develop and test optical and optomechanical systems within my client’s manufacturing facility. As a Graduate Opto-Mechanical Engineer, you will assist on a wide range of projects for a varied client base.

You will undertake both Optical Design (Zemax or similar) and Mechanical Design (Solidworks). Working across all aspects of product design, you will work closely with the end customer to report on project status and provide technical support when required. In addition to this, you will also take responsibility for generating suitable design documentation and updating any engineering changes.

This role would be suitable for a recent MSc/PhD Graduate with Optical and Mechanical design experience, or a more experienced candidate with experience of Optical and Mechanical design within industry. In return, my client can offer an interesting and diverse role within a small, but friendly company.

Experience: It is expected that you will have a minimum of a degree or higher in Photonics/Optics/Physics or similar. It is also expected that you will have a proven background in Opto-Mechanical Design.

Additional Information: Candidates must be resident in the UK and be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
