Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation.

The ideal candidate should be able to operate effectively in a challenging and fast-paced environment, partner with the Business and other core support areas to meet business demands, and facilitate new business growth with a key focus on clients, risk, control, and efficiency.
OUR IMPACT
Metal and Bulk Logistics is a high-value risk management team in Operations responsible for managing physical risks related to transportation and storage of physical inventory for the Commodities Business, including Structured Finance. The team collaborates closely with Trading, Sales, other Operations teams, Legal, and key departments. We seek a professional eager to work across the firm to manage and mitigate risks in the physical logistics supply chain, especially in metals and bulk commodities, with potential expansion into oil and other physical commodities.
HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Onboarding, execution, and ongoing support for physical metals and other bulk commodity transactions, with opportunities across other physical commodities, focusing primarily on metals and bulks.
- Manage daily inventory and supply chain activities, including liaising with trading and sales, scheduling inventory movements, vessel vetting, reviewing transportation and title documentation, inventory reconciliation, and client/operator liaison.
- Interact daily with traders, sales, and control groups across various departments to mitigate risks and facilitate business.
- Provide logistics input on new trade ideas, system improvements, and contract language.
- Arrange due diligence and inspections of storage facilities.
- Ensure contracts and confirmations reflect agreed terms and identify discrepancies.
- Contribute to the development of team processes and procedures.
- Take ownership of projects, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and manage competing priorities effectively.
EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Extensive knowledge of Metals, Bulk products, and Vessel Operations.
- Experience with physical inventory management and supply chain optimization.
- Cargo operations experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Understanding of deal terms, title transfer documents, and Incoterms.
- Experience coordinating large-scale transactions across stakeholders.
- Proactive, ownership-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a control mentality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Preferred Skillset
- Python skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
