We are recruiting on behalf of a global healthcare business seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support its manufacturing operations in the cell and gene therapy space. Based in Birmingham, this is a permanent role within the internal IT function, working across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities and Engineering.

You will act as the link between business users and technical teams, helping define and deliver system enhancements, integrations and process improvements. This role involves managing business requirements, supporting testing and deployment, and ensuring the reliability and compliance of key operational systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting systems such as SAP, Maximo, Robar, OSI PI, Tableau and AWS
  • Leading requirements gathering and documentation for system improvements
  • Coordinating testing and change control for updates and deployments
  • Driving best practice across core processes including Plan to Make and Order to Cash
  • Managing system configurations and ensuring compliance with internal IT controls
  • Facilitating stakeholder discussions and technology roadmap planning
  • Supporting MES, Finite Scheduling and other cross functional systems when needed

We are looking for:

  • At least 4 years of experience in pharma, biotech or life sciences
  • Knowledge of SAP MM and WM, with experience in manufacturing or supply chain processes
  • Experience with SQL, data mining and reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Familiarity with GxP and structured IT change management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Clear communication and confidence working across departments and with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and handle competing priorities
