CAN Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining, enhancing, and securing our IT infrastructure to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Manage and monitor the organisation's servers, networks, and computer systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Security: Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and systems against threats.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across various hardware and software platforms.
- Upgrades: Plan, test, and execute upgrades to IT systems, including hardware and software updates.
- Backup and Recovery: Ensure regular backups are conducted and implement robust recovery plans to mitigate data loss.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT processes, configurations, and systems.
- Support: Provide technical support to employees and act as a point of escalation for complex IT issues.
- Compliance: Ensure IT practices are compliant with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effective procurement and maintenance of IT resources.
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Education: HNC, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or relevant experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows 11/ Windows Server/ Office 365.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with database systems, virtualisation tools, and network management software.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and good written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience in Azure Hybrid Environments.
