The Global Clearing Product team within Payments is responsible for the day-to-day management, development, and delivery of J.P Morgan’s USD, EUR and GBP wires proposition, as well as CLS and Clearinghouse Settlement services. The Global Clearing business moves over $3 trillion worth of wholesale payments every day. Similar to the retail payment industry familiar to consumers, the wholesale industry is at the peak of a technological evolution with a focus on digitalising payments, designing client-centric user interfaces, providing real-time analytics, and doing all this cheaper, faster and more secure than ever before.

As a Product Manager within the Global Clearing Product team, your primary focus and responsibility will be the end-to-end delivery of our GBP Clearing proposition. Facilitated via J.P Morgan's direct participation in CHAPS, the GBP Clearing product is an integral part of our global cross border payments offering, supporting wholesale clients across all regions and segments.

As a diligent, self-motivated and intellectually curious Product Manager, you will be responsible for executing the business strategy, as well as the pro-active management of risks and controls and the setting and monitoring of key performance indicators, including financial targets. In doing so you will need strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including Senior Management, Technology, Sales, Service, Operations and Legal & Compliance.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery and execution of the Global Clearing product strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader line of business priorities and objectives.
  • Pro-actively manage key risks and controls, including compliance to local regulations and clearing system participant requirements and rules.
  • Identify opportunities for product development and differentiation, with a focus on efficiency, standardization and scalability.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of existing products and services.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Payments industry experience, ideally in the wholesale banking space.
  • Strong communication (written, interpersonal, presentation) and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve quality results in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment.
  • Regulatory awareness and experience of rule adoption.
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiating solutions.
  • Execution-oriented self-starter who likes to take initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
