We’re looking for an experienced, self-driven and logical Production Planner to join our dynamic fast-growing brand. This is a position reporting to the Planning Manager working within the Operations function of the business.
About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Production Planner to ensure the smooth process of production across our multiple 3rd party production & filler sites.
Key responsibilities
- Continually develop both a short & long term production plan based on demand/MRP/Promo activity
- Manage creation of works orders and carry out all production admin tasks including working closely with the Warehouse to ensure all componentry arrives with filling partners on time for production
- Always striving to improve efficiency where possible, planning items to run on their respective lines in a timely manner to achieve the best cost possible at the optimum quantities
- Communicating any delays/issues within QC/NPI etc with the whole team
- Produce any reporting that senior members of the team may require
- Troubleshooting/problem solving
- Housekeeping within SAP, keeping up to date with all production order due dates, closing down old work orders, transfer, purchase orders etc.
- Keep up good relations with suppliers and filling partners, having regular meetings to keep conversation/information freely flowing
- Sourcing additional fillers, getting quotes, samples, and occasionally running trial productions
- Liaising with filling partners on any efficiency/product improvements that we want to implement.
- Checking, approving or querying any related invoices
- Additional administrative tasks as per required.
What we’re looking for
- Proven working experience of production planning
- A high level of Excel knowledge with the ability to analyse and manipulate data and an attention to detail
- Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of the business affecting the production process
