Responsibilities
- Customer Insights & Voice of the Customer: Own customer feedback loops, gathering insights from research, data, and direct engagement. Synthesise customer pain points and behaviours to influence product development and messaging. Share back actionable insights with Product, Marketing, and CX teams to improve decision-making.
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Define our Ideal Customer Profile and core customer segments, based on existing customer data and insights, as well as future opportunities to extend market share. Develop clear, compelling positioning and messaging that highlights our value proposition to both pet owners and sitters, localised to core markets where applicable. Ensure consistency in how we communicate product value across all channels. Collaborate with Growth, Lifecycle, and Brand teams to refine how we talk about features and benefits.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution: Own go-to-market plans for product launches, updates, and discounting strategies. Work closely with channel leads (email, paid, CRM, website, in-app, etc.) to ensure messaging is aligned and impactful. Define playbooks for communicating product changes, ensuring updates are effectively positioned to drive adoption. Own the strategy around our geographic focus by identifying new markets with strong product market fit for our ICP and sizeable market share we can win.
- Pricing, Packaging, and Discounting Optimisation: Own discounting go-to-market strategy, balancing revenue goals with customer needs. Develop and optimise pricing and promotional messaging to maximise impact. Partner with Growth and Lifecycle teams to refine in-product messaging and customer segmentation.
- Product Roadmap & Value Communication: Work closely with Product Managers to shape valuable, customer-driven roadmaps. Ensure that the value of new features is clearly communicated to customers through marketing and in-app experiences. Advocate for product improvements based on customer insights and data.
- Cross-functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Partner with Growth, Product, CX, and Brand teams to align marketing, product, and business strategy. Champion a product-led growth (PLG) mindset, ensuring customer insights shape how we build and launch. Influence senior leadership on market trends, competitive positioning, and go-to-market execution.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product marketing, growth marketing, or a related role, preferably in a B2C marketplace or subscription business.
- Proven experience in voice of the customer, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
- Strong understanding of growth loops, activation, retention, and monetization strategies.
- Track record of successful discounting, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Experience in customer research, segmentation, and experimentation.
- Ability to translate product features into compelling customer benefits.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
- Experience working in a product-led growth (PLG) or marketplace environment is a plus.
£70,000 - £90,000 a year
