Hunter Valley Private Hospital is currently seeking a full time Supply Officer with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to join our team.
About the Hospital:
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. The hospital is an 83-bed hospital which offers a variety of surgical, rehabilitation and medical services. As a Supply Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with the supply management of hospital wards and other areas within the hospital.
- The position also includes handling supply & imprest queries as well as general duties in our logistics area (including scanning, picking, processing, unloading, putting away, labelling, reconciling stock, and associated clerical duties), cleaning store areas, and assisting with imprest reviews and stocktakes.
- The position is hands on and requires a high level of physical work.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with a computerized purchasing system (i.e. Technology One)
- Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Proven time management and problem solving ability
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Medical product knowledge
