About the role: As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for all project management processes on low complexity projects, or on a portion (for example, work package) of a moderate complexity project. Requires leading small teams. You will report to the Project Execution Lead and be located at Gateshead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop positive relationships with team, customer, suppliers, Westinghouse in-country representation (for international projects), and other stakeholders to drive project to successful completion.
- Complete all aspects of initiating and planning processes including authoring charters and project management plans which include developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines as well as, risk and stakeholder registers.
- Based on project management plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work.
- Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.
- Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.
- Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.
- Develop or oversee project records in standard databases, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation internally and externally.
- Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.
- Perform final project quality assessment and report out.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience as project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction.
- Strong interpersonal skills, such as effective verbal and written communications; ability to lead team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned, with minimal guidance from supervisory Project Managers and mentors.
- Demonstrated ability or understanding of the transformation of data to information for visual reports; database concepts in order to manage data within systems; the interaction of company functions that are touch points to projects (Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.).
- High-quality presentation skills.
- Expected to complete assigned training in Westinghouse systems, procedures, and policies applicable to assignments.
- Very Good Command of English Language.
