Carnival UK is in search of a Product Owner (Hotel Management System) to support the roll out of a new, innovative hotel management system across 11 ships in our P&O Cruises and Cunard fleet. This role is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the product journey at inception as we collaborate with our sister brands to identify and procure a future-fit HMS to replace the existing platform.
You will deliver a programme of continuous development, working closely with the Product Director and business stakeholders, ship and shore, to deliver regular value-add feature releases in partnership with your team - including business analysts, solution architects, development, and test teams. You will establish, translate and communicate the product vision, backlog, and priorities to the development team based on value, ensuring your rationale is understood and applied.
You will take ownership of agreed features and business owner relationships, shaping and refining user stories for development scoping and sizing, holding regular sync meetings to keep relevant parties updated with roadmap movements, and facilitating key agile ceremonies. The roadmap will also include critical dependencies to streamline and simplify the existing HMS.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Solution Selection: Participate in the platform selection and procurement phases to replace our existing hotel management system.
- Backlog Management: Create and prioritise the backlog for the new solution that will include business and technology change.
- Deployment and Improvement: Oversee the design and deployment lifecycle plus subsequent improvement phases.
- Communication: Liaise with senior management and ship teams to ensure smooth implementation.
This role is classified as a CUK Level 07, offered as a full-time position, on a permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
