The role

As a Site Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will assist and support Project Manager with the management and control of projects via applying PMO competencies through the entire project lifecycle within the Facilities Major Project Team. Day-to-day, you’ll be delivering assigned projects and feasibility studies, working closely with customers and contractors to deliver projects safely and to time, cost and quality. This includes:

  • Managing all on-site activities, ensuring construction work is progressing safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Supervising subcontractors, tradespeople, and site staff, ensuring everyone is aligned with project goals and safety standards.
  • Enforcing strict adherence to HSE regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and carry out regular site inspections.
  • Tracking project milestones, manage schedules, and report updates to project managers or senior leadership.
  • Oversee deliveries, storage, and use of materials and equipment, ensuring efficient site logistics and minimal downtime.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth Dockyard, Fife.

Essential experience of the Site Manager

You must have hands-on experience working in a construction environment. You must have prior experience supervising or managing activities on a live construction site.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
