Are you passionate about helping young people shape their futures? Connexions Bury is looking for a dedicated Connexions Personal Advisor to provide expert careers information, advice, and guidance to support young people as they transition beyond post-16 education.
About the Role
- Empower young people by identifying their needs, abilities, and barriers to progression.
- Provide tailored support through effective partnership working, referrals, and signposting.
- Work independently in various settings, adapting flexibly to young people's needs.
- Deliver engaging one-to-one guidance sessions and group workshops.
- Apply innovative approaches when working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless support and progression opportunities.
- Contribute as part of a team delivering our UKSPF programme.
About You
- A qualification in working with young people equivalent to NVQ Level 4 (such as Youth Work, Careers Guidance, Social Work, or Teaching) OR relevant experience in the field.
- A QCF Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and partnership-building skills to effectively support young people.
- A results-driven approach, meeting service targets and deadlines with confidence.
- 22.2 hours per week, based around the usual business working week. Some rota-based work may be required, depending on service needs.
