About the opportunity
Our Mobile Dispensing Opticians play a key role in providing crucial clinical support in stores for regulated dispensing. You will work closely with a Mobile Optometrist to ensure a seamless patient journey from chair to dispense.
Key responsibilities include:
- Model, lead, and deliver exceptional care, supporting patients and customers in making appropriate choices regarding optical and healthcare products and services.
- Work flexibly across the opticians area according to business needs, continually developing knowledge to serve patients and customers effectively.
- Provide expert knowledge for patients with specialized requirements.
- Deliver complete healthcare solutions, coaching team members, and collaborating with Healthcare teams for integrated care.
- Supervise the development, education, and training of colleagues and support mentoring of students, including Student Dispensing Opticians.
- Maintain compliance with practice standards, Boots Opticians policies, and SOPs.
- Support operational processes to ensure legal and safe trading.
- Participate in store leadership meetings to uphold high clinical standards and patient safety.
- Embrace and promote digital tools through engaging customer conversations.
- Travel to stores within the area as required.
About you
To succeed, you should have:
- Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders, including store and area leaders, peers, and external professionals.
- High clinical standards.
