Overview: First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Field Operations Manager to join their team in Lambeth. As a pivotal member of my client's commercial operations team, the successful candidate will oversee a team responsible for managing heating system repair, service operatives, and subcontractors. This includes coordinating repairs, services, and reactive maintenance for boiler room plant, residential dwellings, water tanks, and more. The role involves ensuring that all work is executed accurately and within specified timelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To manage and monitor a team of operatives who repair heating systems and associated plant in client owned properties, in accordance with manufacturer and industry best practice, legislation and Group guidelines.
- Main duties will be to ensure that the day's works are completed in full in accordance with the Gas Safe and industry regulations in a timely manner.
- Have an understanding of mechanical compliancy to sfg20 standards and control a compliancy program maintaining 100% compliancy at all times.
- Ability to work to deadlines and timescales and liaise with area heads and clients regarding changes to schedules or appointments.
- Monitor and effectively direct operatives to ensure optimal service delivery including the management of operatives and operative training, resource levels, productivity, customer satisfaction, missed appointments and complaints.
- Ensure the security and correct operation of plant and equipment supplied, to include vehicles, flue gas analysis meters and mobile data equipment i.e. PDAs.
- Liaise with the repairs and project admin teams to manage follow on works and installation referrals.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- 3 years management experience.
- A Level or NVQ 3 qualified.
- ACS qualifications - minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1, HTR1 & CPA1.
- Certificate of Management of Asbestos (1-day) Training.
- IOSH 4-day Working Safely Training Certificate (or equivalent).
- Managing commercial aspects of a contract/business.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable:
- Any qualification or certificate of health and safety training achievement, e.g. Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (3-Day), etc.
- Gas Safety.
- Management of Gas Servicing contracts.
- HR procedures and processes.
- Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your role.
