On behalf of our growing London client, we are recruiting for a Tooling Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, development, troubleshooting and optimization of molds and dies used in plastic injection molding process.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the repair and optimize molds and dies for plastic molding processes.
- Collaborate with product designers and engineers to understand design requirements.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed mold and die specifications.
- Conduct/assist feasibility studies to assess the viability and efficiency of mold and die designs.
- Optimize mold and die designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to molding and die processes.
Preferred experience:
- Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in the maintenance of tooling, molds and plastic injection equipment.
- Skilled Trade Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of materials, molding processes, and mold fabrication techniques.
- CAD experience.
