Assistant Accountant (Part Time) Job Ref No: WS/AA/01/25 The Role: Take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to year end standard and within reporting deadlines; Carry out variance analysis v budget and investigate/explain variances; Preparation of KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis; Assist with the preparation of monthly projections and annual budgets; Responsibility for compliance (VAT & statutory returns); Assist development & implementation of Management Information Systems and financial IT systems. The Person: Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or Part qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or QBE accountant; Proficient in Word and MS Outlook with Intermediate to advanced Excel ability; Excellent administration skills, organised and able to prioritise workload; Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills; Experience within a food manufacturing environment; Be able to interact and communicate with staff at all levels including senior management in a professional manner. Preference will be given to candidates with: Experience of using an ERP system; Experience in analysing production variances. The role is a part time role 30 hours per week.
