Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE + bonuses & benefits Duties: Looking after a team and ensuring the team achieves productivity and profitability targets. Understand the basics of operational systems. Share feedback on market trends in European road freight. Handle quotations and bookings, and input data for European road freight shipments. Collaborate with the European Express team to provide the right level of service for customers. Handling quotations and pricing requests for sales team. Monitoring live shipments and maintain high customer service standards with clients and suppliers. Identify sales opportunities with existing customers and win business Log quotes and follow up to convert them into shipments. Work with the customs team to prepare necessary documents for European road freight. Actively communicate with customers, agents, and suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers/hauliers to get the best rates and service. Join sales and departmental team meetings regularly. Support marketing activities like emails, mailshots, and calls. When possible, contact existing customers to check for European road freight needs and cross-sell other services (e.g., Sea and Air, European Express, UK, Customs).
