A well established, friendly and supportive accountancy firm in North London is looking to hire a Bookkeeper to join their team. Essentially, the role will be to work within a team with the expectation to do the following:
- Prepare VAT returns for multiple businesses including restaurants, wholesalers of textiles and furniture, fashion designers, and digital marketers.
- Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers.
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts.
- Prepare final accounts up to and including trial balance stage.
- Prepare tax returns including all workings.
- Work directly with the accountants to finalise accounts for companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Great knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail and focus on getting the job done.
- Good ability to work within a team.
- Liaise with clients and request all the information needed to complete the work.
Other requirements but not essential:
- Part qualified in AAT.
- Knowledge of VT Transactions.
- Ideally would have some experience working in an accountancy practice.
