We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers in the Rayleigh area. Superior Healthcare provides round-the-clock care packages to support people living with long-term health conditions to live in the comfort and safety of their own homes. As a Community Healthcare Assistant, you will join our complex care team and work long-term with one or a small number of clients. You will benefit from a fixed rota with the option of overtime. We are ideally looking for carers, support workers, and healthcare assistants who are keen to work full-time hours; however, part-time roles are offered.
How we’ll support you: Superior Healthcare will provide full, paid classroom-based training when you join us, paid induction shifts, and ongoing supervision support from our in-house team of nurses and supervisors. If a client’s needs mean that you require extra skills (for example, if they need assistance to meet their nutritional requirements), we will provide paid, specialist training to ensure that you, as a community care assistant, can confidently support their needs and develop your own skills.

Requirements:
- 6 months professional care experience in the UK based in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience working with complex care clients.
- Someone who is flexible and able to offer availability with short notice including weekend shifts.
- A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- A minimum commitment of 2x shifts a week.
- You must be based in the UK to apply for this role – we do not offer VISA sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- To closely observe and monitor the client for clinical intervention.
- To be friendly, engaging and hold a great conversation with the client around their interests.
- To assist the client with moving and handling, including the use of equipment such as hoists.
- To show the client dignity and respect when providing personal care.
- To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
