Are you a seasoned PCS7 freelancer ready to support major UK infrastructure and manufacturing projects? Would you like to be part of a flexible, forward-thinking automation team working on scalable PCS7-based solutions? Do you enjoy solving complex control challenges for sectors like Water, Energy, Food, and Heavy Industry?
We are partnering with several UK-based system integrators and end-users who are ramping up PCS7-focused automation programs. Your role will involve developing and deploying robust PCS7 systems, improving engineering efficiency, and contributing to continuous innovation in industrial controls.
We are looking for a freelancer who:
- Has a relevant degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering
- Possesses strong experience with Siemens PCS7 (Batch knowledge is a plus)
- Is well-versed in control architecture, commissioning, and system integration
- Communicates clearly and works well in teams
- Is based in the UK and eligible to work as a contractor (Ltd/Umbrella/Sole Trader)
- Is open to site visits or hybrid work arrangements depending on the project
- Can work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
Responsibilities and interests:
- Designing and developing PCS7 automation solutions
- Leading or supporting FAT, commissioning, and handover activities
- Troubleshooting and optimizing existing control systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines
- Contributing to standardization and modernization efforts
- Supporting digital transformation in industrial automation
