Job Details
The Manager, Dealer Sales, will contribute to our company’s revenue strategy and execute on a strategic plan for building an effective sales team. They have direct accountability for annual revenue quota retirement. They are responsible for leading, supporting, and developing a team of sales professionals who sell multiple products and solutions in the dealer market, helping to achieve our revenue targets and create more multi-product customers. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building, leading, managing & developing a high-impact, high-output team in a dynamic working environment. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader and team player, with hands-on experience in the disciplined use of sales processes/methodologies, the sales life cycle, technical selling tools, and sales effectiveness.
Position Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and motivate a team of high-performing and highly engaged sales professionals.
- Exceed sales targets through the execution of established best practices and accountability for results.
- Execute short and long-term sales strategies that align with the corporate strategic vision and goals of the company.
- Develop, implement, and track programs for your dealer sales team, with key metrics for success and disciplined follow-through to completion.
- Act as a trusted advisor through leadership, training, and direction to your sales team with coaching and regular performance feedback.
- Build and maintain relationships with key Dealer Groups within your region, as assigned.
- Responsible for renewals and leading new product negotiations with key Dealer Groups.
- Actively seek external information to understand customers’ and market segment needs.
- Be fluent in industry trends and market dynamics.
- Understand the competitive landscape.
- Continuously learn and actively seek ongoing professional/industry knowledge development by attending workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in the community.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in sales
- 3+ years’ experience managing a high-performing team
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills
- Related industry experience in the automotive field
- Proficient at using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
