My client is a market leader in the Submarines business, responsible for design, manufacture, supply, and support of nuclear propulsion products for the Royal Navy's submarine fleet. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integrated Product Owner to join their Product Development Team in Glasgow.
You will lead a safety-critical product development team, delivering complete product designs through a rigorous process. As the Product Owner, you will work with an agile Scrum team to develop FPGA-based applications, with training provided as needed.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing requirements for FPGA-based designs
- Developing and verifying VHDL code
- Supporting hardware testing
- Setting product goals and roadmaps
- Managing the product backlog
- Problem-solving and decision-making to meet business commitments
- Representing stakeholders and leading Scrum teams
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Certified Scrum Product Owner
- Experience in VHDL design and verification
- Strong technical reporting skills
- Ability to manage complex products
Beneficial experience includes familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Git, IBM DOORS, Siemens QuestaSim/ModelSim, Synopsys Synplify Pro, and knowledge of safety standards such as IEC 61513, IEC 62566, IEC 26262, DO-254, as well as languages like VHDL, SystemVerilog, TCL, Python.
