The Role: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Lead and manage the commercial aspects of water infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, develop and manage project budgets, and track expenditure.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and industry standards within the water sector.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the quantity surveying team.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.
What Weβre Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., BSc Quantity Surveying, MSc Quantity Surveying, or equivalent).
- Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the water sector, including experience on projects such as water treatment works, wastewater treatment works, pipelines, and reservoirs.
- Excellent understanding of water industry regulations, best practices, and cost control methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to accurately forecast costs and manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
