The Role
Now the school wants to transform the way they communicate, because they want everyone to know what sets them apart. You will shape and deliver a brand-new communications strategy and ensure the delivery of high-quality content across all media platforms. From updating their websites to identifying PR opportunities, from managing relationships with partners to generating inspiring copy, and from engaging newspaper editors to overseeing social media, you will take a truly hands-on approach to everything you do. That’s why they need somebody who can think, lead and do, all at the same time. Chances are, you will join them from a media or journalism background. You will certainly join them with a high level of commercial acumen, great copywriting skills, an innate flair for creating stories and a real love of education and its possibilities.
Whilst you’ll be centrally based, with regular visits to their four academies, they’re happy to consider hybrid working and are very flexible in their approach. They’re also deeply committed to rewarding success, so you can expect a competitive salary and a local authority pension, plus a wide-ranging employee assistance programme, the Perkbox wellness hub and discount platform, salary sacrifice options, green car and cycle-to-work schemes, onsite parking, free flu jabs, fitness initiatives and more. And if you have your own children, they’ll benefit from priority admission to the academy of your choice to give them a real head start. This role is being advertised as an all year round post but they would consider Term Time for the right candidate.
