The Postgres Senior SME is responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of PostgreSQL databases within the organization. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of database systems, as well as providing expert guidance to development teams and business users.
Key responsibilities:
- Database Administration: Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, schema design, and experience in performance tuning for data warehousing applications.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
