Contract Length: 6 months - likely to be extended

Spinwell is recruiting for a Technical Solutions Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS ENGINEER
- Assist with High and Low level designs to obtain board approval
- Raise and complete change approval documentation to enable build work
- Brief senior management and attend board meetings to provide in support of project delivery
- Build, configure and test secure solutions to the approved designs
- Migrate applications and data from existing infrastructure to target infrastructure
- Transition solutions into BAU service, including providing complete document sets
- Liaise with internal business customers, as required
- Liaise with external suppliers, as required
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS ENGINEER
- Installation and configuration of network infrastructure (mandatory)
- Build, configure and manage full VMWare infrastructure stack (mandatory)
- Microsoft Windows skills, building physical and virtual servers (mandatory)
- Active Directory Domain management (mandatory)
- Microsoft Domain Controllers and SQL (mandatory)
- You will have successfully implemented medium to large scale applications and data migrations
- You will be hands-on when required, particularly in building and configuring applications or hardware
- You will have broad knowledge of Application, Data Information and Infrastructure Architecture
- You will have broad experience of migrating Windows based bespoke applications, including file plans and database repositories
- You will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working with varied stakeholders in a corporate organisation
- You will have a proven track record of liaising with third parties, System Integrators and outsourced service providers
- You will have experience in the design and analysis of ICT applications operating at SECRET or higher
