Bring energy, care, and creativity to the start of a child\’s journey As an Early Years Practitioner, you\’ll help shape a child\’s first experiences of learning, friendship, and play. You\’ll be part of a team that brings joy and support to children and their families every day, creating safe, engaging spaces where every child is seen, supported, and given the chance to flourish. Working Style: You\’ll be based in the Borough for five days a week, serving the local community. Whether working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you\’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference in residents\’ lives. What you\’ll be doing: Joining a caring team working with children aged 0-5 in community nurseries. Planning fun, engaging activities that promote learning through play, indoors and outside. Being hands-on by changing nappies, preparing snacks, encouraging independence, and celebrating milestones. Supporting a small group of children and their families, providing reassurance and understanding their needs. Ensuring inclusivity for all children, including those with additional needs, and fostering a welcoming environment. This is a fast-paced, sometimes noisy and messy role, focused on helping children feel secure, curious, and cared for. What you\’ll bring: A minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification recognized by the Department for Education. Experience working in an early years setting is preferred. Warmth, patience, and energy. Ability to work well in a team, learn quickly, and adapt daily. Strong relationship-building skills with parents and carers. Understanding of child development, especially for two-year-olds and vulnerable groups. Familiarity with EYFS and safeguarding guidance. DBS check and First Aid training (or willingness to obtain). Locations: Clare Gardens Nursery – 349 Westbourne Park Rd, London W11 1EG (2 full-time roles) St Quintin\’s Nursery – 90 Highlever Rd, London W10 6PN (1 full-time role) Full days are 7.2 hours with shifts.
