Accountant

Reed Practice is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing accountancy firm in Stourbridge. The firm is looking to expand its team with two experienced Accountants — one with a strong background in Management Accounting, and another with expertise in Technical Accounting and Accounts Preparation.

?? Role 1: Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Cash flow management and reporting
• Providing strategic financial insights to clients
• Liaising with clients to support decision-making and financial planning

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong background in management accounting within a practice or industry setting
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proficient in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
• ACCA qualified, or finalist preferred

?? Role 2: Technical Accountant (Accounts Preparation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Completing corporation tax computations and submissions
• Ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and other relevant standards
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff
• Supporting audit preparation (if applicable)

Ideal Candidate:

• Solid experience in accounts preparation within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and tax compliance
• ACCA/ACA qualified or part-qualified
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills
