Job Title: Paralegal – Financial Mis-Selling

My clientA busy, multi-disciplinary legal practice based in the heart of Manchester is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its expanding team. Known for delivering professional and personalised legal services to both private individuals and commercial entities, the firm is rapidly growing and building a strong reputation across multiple practice areas.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience or strong interest in Business Energy Claims or Undisclosed Commission cases (similar to PPI/Plevin claims). The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in financial mis-selling and a drive to take on more responsibility and develop their legal career.You'll work closely with experienced supervisors and legal professionals, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic team environment. Full training is provided, and there are clear prospects for career progression within the business.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments
- Draft and edit client correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings and trial submissions
- Liaise with clients, defendants' representatives, and third parties via phone, email, and in-person
- Attend trials and hearings alongside Counsel
- Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
- Support senior team members across a wide range of legal tasks
- Manage case logistics, maintain accurate records, and perform administrative tasks
What You'll Need
- Law degree (LLB or MSc)
- Proven experience in a Paralegal role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail, especially when handling large volumes of data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Friendly, confident personality and a collaborative mindset
- Desirable (but not essential):
- At least one year's experience as a Paralegal
- Experience in file handling and legal caseload management
- Familiarity with financial mis-selling claims
