Facilities and Maintenance Associate

At Pan-n-Ice and our events division PNI Events (Rolling Minds), we create unforgettable retail and event experiences across the UK and beyond. To keep everything running seamlessly behind the scenes, we’re hiring a Facilities & Maintenance Associate.

This hands-on, varied role will see you responsible for maintaining equipment, fixing technical issues, supporting events, keeping our storage sites organised, and working across both retail and event operations. You'll be the first point of call for anything practical, technical or logistical—keeping our machines running and our spaces functional.

🔧 What You’ll Be Owning

⚙️ Equipment, Repairs & Maintenance

• Carry out regular servicing and preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment across London and Manchester kiosks (ice cream machines, fridges, coffee machines, etc.)
• Tackle faults head-on—fix issues where possible, and if not, manage the process of bringing in external contractors
• Be the first responder to on-the-ground technical problems in retail and events settings
• Keep all sites safe, functional and compliant

✅ Keep It Safe & Compliant

• Conduct fire checks, electrical safety reviews, and water system maintenance
• Maintain clear, accurate records of compliance tasks and ensure nothing slips through the cracks
• Liaise with centre management teams where needed

🏪 New Store & Site Openings

• Support retail site openings and new builds—whether that’s setting up tills, installing shelves, or assembling on-site infrastructure
• Help with logistics and equipment for launches, ensuring everything’s operational from day one

🎉 Event & Technical Support

• Be the go-to technical problem-solver on event days
• Offer onsite support with transport, setup, temporary builds, electrics, and last-minute fixes
• Step in with advice and hands-on solutions when technical problems arise

🔨 Hands-On Hero

• You’re the kind of person who grabs the toolbox before calling in backup
• Whether it’s a leaky pipe, broken lock, or dodgy freezer, you know how to fix things quickly and calmly under pressure

🧰 Preventative Maintenance & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain proactive maintenance schedules for all sites
• Manage a log of issues, track response times, and handle relationships with trusted external contractors

📦 Storage, Logistics & Workshop Oversight

(Berkshire Barn and West London HQ)

• Keep our bulky equipment warehouse tidy, safe, and efficient
• Maintain a real-time log of stored items
• Use the space as a light workshop when needed
• Oversee day-to-day access storage areas
• Ensure tools and essentials are easy to find, stocked, and neatly organised

🚛 Transport & Support

• Use the company van to move equipment between locations and provide operational support across sites
• Assist both retail and events teams as needed with logistics, collection, deliveries, and more

About You

• Hands-on experience in maintenance, facilities, technical setups or repairs
• Trade qualification (e.g. City & Guilds in plumbing, electrics, or mechanical) is a plus
• Confident problem-solver—able to think quickly and act proactively
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Clear communicator and team player
• Comfortable working independently across multiple sites and reacting to evolving needs

Full UK manual driving licence is essential.
