As a Senior Software Engineer for the France Global Payroll team, you will play a critical role in advancing our full-service payroll platform that handles payroll configuration and calculations for hundreds of thousands of employees. This is a great opportunity to shape the technology powering one of Rippling’s core product offerings. You will own and drive initiatives by creating new product functionality from the ground up as well as rearchitecting key components of our platform to help us scale. What you will do:
- Partner with design and product management leaders to shape and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the team, while maintaining a balanced approach that considers both platform and product perspectives.
- Implement maintainable solutions with high quality and reliability that can scale as our business continues to grow and expand.
- Provide mentorship to other engineers, fostering their professional growth and success.
- Enforce high-quality deliverables and raise the bar for engineering excellence by building and operationalizing tools, monitors, and processes across the organization.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to handle customer and production support.
What you will need:
- Bilingual language proficiency of English and French.
- 6+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Ability to own and deliver projects, transforming product specifications into successful releases.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, modern design patterns, providing you with a solid foundation to tackle complex technical problems and drive innovation.
- Proficiency in managing the complete project lifecycle, transforming intricate ideas into successful launches.
- Demonstrate a keen product sense that advocates for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Outstanding capacity to convey intricate technical concepts clearly and precisely, both in written and verbal communication, while collaborating effectively across diverse functional teams.
- Experience with Python, Django and React are a plus.
