Overview
The Lead Art Director - Mini Boden will lead and guide the Mini Boden art direction team to deliver the Boden creative vision in line with the brand content strategy. You will concept and execute the creative behind seasonal campaigns across multi-channel activation, and support the ACD, Head of Graphics, Head of Brand and Marketing Director.
Location: 3 days per week based at our North Acton Office & 2 days Home Working.
What You Will Do
- Balance multiple shoots each month staying organised, flexible, and focused on delivering consistently high-quality creative while managing a team.
- Own the creative from start to finish developing concepts, writing shoot briefs, art directing (on set or remotely), and making sure the final assets feel fun, fresh, and on-brand.
- Turn seasonal design stories into strong visual narratives that reflect Mini Boden’s playful, colourful spirit and ensuring they work seamlessly across all platforms.
- Create original 360° campaign ideas that connect across print, digital, social, and more—tailored to our audience of parents and style-loving kids.
- Collaborate closely with Shoot Production and Project Management to keep everything running smoothly, from prep through to post.
- Always be on the lookout for inspiring new creative talent and collaborators who align with Mini Boden.
- Keep the customer at the heart of everything; create content that delights, engages, and stands out.
- Contribute to mood boards, shoot decks, and prep docs that clearly bring creative ideas to life.
- Stay creatively curious—keep up with what’s new in kidswear, lifestyle, and visual culture.
- Navigate the internal sign-off process confidently guiding stakeholders and bringing them along on the creative journey.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong experience as an Art Director.
- A strong background in shoots and track record of producing standout, multi-channel content for other Children’s fashion brands.
- Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite CC2019, Photoshop and InDesign and Capture One.
- Experience of team ownership and management.
- Great list of contacts within the industry.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to positively express opinions and influence.
