Location: Leeds, Leeds International Study Centre
Salary: up to £27,500 per annum
The purpose of the role is to support the management of academic quality and enhancement of provision across two centres: Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre and Leeds International Study Centre. You will need to be organised, with strong ICT skills, an administrative background, have an excellent attention to detail and a willingness to work at multiple locations in Leeds.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Familiarise oneself with quality procedures and processes used in Centre.
- Mapping local and standard operating procedures against the QAA Quality Code Expectations.
- Assisting with the implementation and administration of academic quality processes to ensure compliance with external bodies.
- Managing and maintaining all definitive Centre documents (e.g. Centre Handbook, Programme and Module specifications) ensuring all information is available to stakeholders and is accessible, accurate and trustworthy.
- Working with university partners to ensure a cooperative and collaborative relationship in maintaining quality standards.
- Assisting with production of review documents such as student surveys.
- Production of specified data sets, analysis and evaluation for inclusion in reports considered by committees and groups supported by this role.
- Providing administrative support for Complaints, Disciplinaries and Appeals.
- Checking all assessments have been internally and externally moderated and escalate to Head of Quality and Enhancement if any concerns.
- Ensuring the secure storing and archiving of exam papers and assessment briefs.
- Supporting with the recruitment of external examiners and external panel members.
- Ensuring provision of relevant documentation to external examiners and link tutors.
- Ensuring that all reports of external scrutiny processes are received by the appropriate committee or group for consideration.
- Providing support related to quality and standards matters in the context of the Centre Action Plan.
- Providing administrative support for the production of documentation for course/module changes and (re)approval.
- Providing administrative support for the delivery of internal training/CPD for staff at the ISC and the induction of new staff.
- Documenting themes from observation records and appraisals for follow up.
- Supporting the Head of Quality and Enhancement by minute taking and logging actions at relevant quality committees.
- Supporting / deputising for the Head of Quality and Enhancement.
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues.
- Fostering productive relationships with the student body.
- Assisting with the induction process and arrivals.
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students with whom you come into contact with.
- Any other duties as required by the Head of Department and Senior Leadership Team.
ABOUT YOU
- Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience of working within administration.
- Experience of working in an academic setting in a student facing role (Desirable).
