Our client is a rapidly growing, medium-sized, family-owned business seeking a forward-thinking and creative Project Lead. The role involves managing the sales pipeline for assigned territories or customers and ensuring timely sales activities to meet company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales pipeline, assess customer needs, diagnose pain points, and propose suitable solutions.
- Follow up promptly on sales actions to secure meetings.
- Ensure thorough handover after securing orders and assist with order finalization.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets with available resources.
- Provide regular sales reports to management.
- Attend pre-order meetings and assist with commercial negotiations as needed.
- Develop sales strategies in collaboration with estimators and managers.
- Arrange telesales activities and follow up on appointments.
- Identify decision-makers within client organizations.
- Build rapport through face-to-face meetings, understand client needs, and present solutions.
- Study project drawings and specifications to understand client requirements.
- Identify technical challenges and coordinate with pre-construction teams.
- Work with sales and estimating teams on proposals and pricing strategies.
- Maintain daily CRM updates and contribute to sales forecasting.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Sales Lead, preferably in balconies, facades, joinery, or landscaping.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
- Relevant qualifications for the role.
Additional Details: Full-time, permanent position. Additional pay includes on-site parking. Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Must reside within 15 miles of Reading, Berkshire.
