Scope of Role
As our Customer Care Maintenance operative, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer care service to all clients and customers in accordance with the guidelines specified within the associated contract conditions and working to maintain a standard of quality and service. You will carry out repairs, source all necessary materials in advance to complete works on time and efficiently to the highest standard. This role is field based covering a number of active and completed developments across the region.
Reporting to the Head of Customer Services, the successful candidate should be skilled in various disciplines including joinery, plaster patching, silicone, general plumbing and decorating. Skills in other trades would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Deliver an effective and efficient customer focused service to enable first-point resolution for all customers.
- Carry out multi-trade remedial work to the clients quality standards.
- Ensure that customer/client acceptance sheets are signed as proof of completion that the work is finished to our clients quality standard.
- Plan and allocate works to ensure an effective and efficient use of time and resources whilst ensuring the customer needs are met.
- Carry out responsive remedial repairs if/when required and work from verbal or written instructions, including drawings and sketches.
- Ensure all required work areas or areas at risk are covered and/or protected from any damage during remedial activities.
- Be able to evaluate and escalate any issues or risks to the appropriate person.
- Maintain in good order the company vehicle and equipment assigned.
- Undertake vehicle and equipment inspections on a regular basis.
Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; working with colleagues, external customers and sub-contractors to resolve problems.
- Take instruction from the Head of Customer Services/Co-ordinator, ensuring customer appointments are attended on time and any materials required are sourced prior to the appointment.
- Resolve defects/general snags in a timely manner ensuring all works are signed off.
- Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a stock of regular consumable materials required for tasks, including utilising materials direct from live developments.
- Be able to work closely with site teams and provide support as/when required.
- Have a good working knowledge of all aspects of construction.
- Carpentry, patch plaster, silicone and decorating skills are essential.
- The ability to prioritise and manage own workload where required.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Self-motivated and the ability to use initiative.
- Have exceptional administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate complete confidentiality when dealing with purchasers.
- IT literate and be able to utilise various industry standard devices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Problem solver and attention to detail.
- Hold a full driving licence.
- Always portray a clean and positive image.
Experience
- Proven experience of working in a similar role for a minimum of 4 years.
