As an HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice and compliance with company policies. This is a hands-on generalist role suitable for someone with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding, including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, and induction.
  • Administer absence, holiday, and leave records, ensuring accurate HR documentation.
  • Coordinate learning and development activities, liaising with managers and the training team.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring timely and accurate submission of HR data.
  • Maintain HR systems and personnel files in line with GDPR and company standards.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, probation reviews, and appraisals.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics as required.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment is advantageous.
