Work with York Limited are working with our client to find a Social Worker for their Adult Services Mental Health Team, based close to York City Centre. This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. It is to start ASAP until October 2025, on a hybrid working basis with 2 days in the office. Competitive rate of weekly pay, holiday pay and pension with online timesheets.
Core responsibilities, tasks and duties include:
- Covering team duty
- Managing complex cases and providing professional advice and support, including conflict resolution, emotional support, crisis intervention, mediation, negotiation and advocacy
- Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary assessments
- Managing an individual caseload of customers, all of whom will have either moderate or severe mental illness and needs that are complex
- Delivering Care Act assessments and ICB reviews
- Community and discharge work
Essential skills and experience for this role:
- IT skills, preferably experienced with Mosaic
- A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent)
- Be eligible to work within the UK
- A minimum of 2 years recent Social Work experience within an Adult Social Work team
- An enhanced Adult DBS
