We are recruiting for a privately-owned Safety / Compliance consultancy, who are rapidly growing their client base and coverage. They are looking to add a motivated and knowledgeable Occupational Hygiene Consultant to their team. Prospective candidates will need existing experience working across a mixed portfolio of client sites, including: commercial, industrial and local authority. For the successful candidate, they are offering competitive salaries and benefits and exciting training opportunities.
Our client would prefer candidates to be based around: Stockport, Macclesfield, Altrincham, Manchester, Wilmslow, Warrington, Leigh, Wigan, Preston, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Ellesmere Port, Runcorn, Chester, Crewe, Skelmersdale, Blackburn, Liverpool, St Helens, Leeds, Bradford, Glossop, Huddersfield, Halifax, Leek, Stoke-on-Trent, Nantwich, Winsford.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Successful record working as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant
- Must hold 1 or more BOHS module such as: W503, W 201, 502, 504, 506 & or 507
- It would be beneficial to hold: BOHS P600, P601, P602, but it is not essential
- Strong industry technical knowledge
- Robust literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Professional manner
- Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
The Role:
- Attending a range of client sites to carry out workplace assessments, testing, sampling and audits for noise, air quality, dust, fume, LEV and vibration
- Meeting with clients to discuss findings and to make comprehensive recommendations
- Carrying out COSHH assessments
- Creating bespoke service plans for clients to ensure their requirements are catered for
- Keeping accurate records of observations and sample results
- Producing detailed reports to present to clients
- Meeting clients on site to discuss requirements and answer technical queries
- Liaising directly with clients to arrange appointments
- Maintaining and building strong relationships with clients
