Our client, a specialist asset manager based in London, is looking for a Junior Trader to join their trading team. This person will be responsible for performing equity and FX trade execution for the firm’s Global Equities strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Execute, with best execution, Equity and FX trades
- Stay up to date with regulation, technical and market trends and changes
- Work with technology providers to implement new solutions, analyse and help to evolve the trading process
- Generate, manipulate and visualise large datasets
- Produce TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis)
- Communicate with the investment, research teams and CIO
- Keep up to date with, understand and disseminate relevant market and stock news
- Understand portfolio and strategy restrictions and cash positions
- Present the trading process to clients and consultants
Key requirements:
- Understanding of and experience with global equity markets, US and Europe preferred
- 3 years of experience in an equity trading role
- Understand trading algorithms and TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to interpret, manipulate and interrogate large amounts of data
- Experience with database query languages (e.g. SQL) and dashboarding software (e.g. PowerBI)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A team player mentality with strong sense of motivation and integrity
