We are seeking a motivated and reliable Sous Chef to join our team and take on an important leadership role within our kitchen. As Sous Chef, you will be accountable for the smooth running of back-of-house (BOH) operations and will assume full responsibility for the kitchen during service. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will ensure that every aspect of kitchen operations meets our high standards, from food preparation and plating to staff performance and overall kitchen organization. You’ll be responsible for supporting the team, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and helping to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellent food quality and service.

Main Responsibilities:
As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of kitchen operations, overseeing food quality and consistency, and delivering a high standard of service to our customers. You will be responsible for managing food stock, monitoring kitchen equipment, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Key duties include conducting monthly stock takes, managing orders and deliveries, controlling food waste, and overseeing daily food management. Your role will require you to monitor and evaluate the quality of food being produced, ensuring consistency in presentation and taste, and making necessary adjustments. You will work closely with the Head Chef to implement the restaurant’s food philosophy, seasonal menus, and food safety regulations. Additionally, you will ensure that the team follows agreed procedures and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Training and development will be a significant part of your role. You will help improve the skills and morale of kitchen staff, providing clear direction, feedback, and regular performance feedback. You will also address any performance-related issues and, if necessary, apply the company’s disciplinary procedures. You will ensure that the kitchen operates in line with the company’s service standards and work to maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere, fostering teamwork and high morale. As a Sous Chef, you will be expected to lead by example, helping to create a productive, clean, and organized kitchen environment while delivering excellent food and service.
