As an Aeroderivative turbine Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on-site. You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard. Safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of Aeroderivative Turbines. The work includes but is not limited to borescope inspections, blade work, combustion/hot section replacements, engine swaps, and other types of maintenance tasks. You will enjoy opportunities to develop your product knowledge and technical skills in a dynamic, innovative environment.

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
  • Performing all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed.
  • Using hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.
  • Executing hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication.
  • Troubleshooting complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/variable speed turbines.
  • Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites.
  • Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.
  • Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.
  • Ensuring all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 4+ years of work as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of turbine technology.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
  • Have extensive experience with gas turbines maintenance activities.
  • Display an impressive customer service-orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
  • Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
  • Be a motivated self-starter and be able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.
  • Be available to travel globally 70% of the time.
  • Have an EU Passport or a European Work permit.
