As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Margin and Collateral technology team, you will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm\’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will execute software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, gaining valuable skills for your career growth. Job Responsibilities Execute standard software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues. Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance. Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications. Utilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation and efficiency. Apply troubleshooting skills to resolve basic technical problems. Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making for secure, stable application development. Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems. Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience. Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Proficiency in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages. Proficient in Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot. Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. Knowledge of emerging software applications and technical processes (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile). Experience in defining test scenarios and automating unit and integration tests. Skills in performance testing and code optimization. Proficiency with Oracle and Cassandra databases. Experience with build and deployment tools such as Bitbucket, Git, Jules, and CLOUD. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Familiarity with front-end technologies like EXTJS and ReactJS. Knowledge of MQ, Kafka, and message parsers. Certification in Oracle JDK11 or JDK17 is a plus. About Us J.P.
