About Venture Café Venture Café Global Institute (VCGI) started in 2009 within the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Massachusetts, aiming to connect people, ideas, and resources globally. It has grown into a worldwide movement, facilitating over 750,000 connections across cities like Boston, Berlin, and Tokyo. VCGI\’s mission is to drive global change by building communities focused on solving humanity\’s biggest challenges. Venture Café London will launch in Q2 2025 alongside strategic partner ARIA. We partner with organizations evolving business, education, technology, social justice, science, and arts within London and beyond. Our flagship Thursday Gathering convenes hundreds of creative and resourceful people invested in improving life on our planet. Your Day-to-Day Work We are looking for a curious doer to join our fun team to coordinate impactful programs for our community at the Thursday Gathering. Your responsibilities include: Coordinating programs and speakers before, during, and after events. Managing setup and breakdown, including partner bump-ins, signage, and kiosk setup. Coordinating local Venture Café Ambassadors. Sharing learnings with the Venture Café Global Institute and supporting global relationships. Identifying and mitigating risks to event operations. Collaborating with the ARIA team to ensure a delightful experience. Providing excellent hospitality—engaging community members and resolving issues professionally, while enforcing Venture Café guidelines. About You You bring a background in event management, creativity, and flexibility, driven by a passion for mission-driven work. Your customer service, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to innovate in event experiences will ensure your success. You should also have: At least 1-3 years of professional event experience. Fluency in English. Exceptional hospitality skills. Familiarity with social media channels and leveraging them for promotion. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
