Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager, the Infrastructure Support Engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will support the IS Manager, the Infrastructure & Security Manager, and the Applications Manager. The role involves supporting and maintaining Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems, along with general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. The position offers exposure to a broad range of IT projects and activities. The primary focus is on supporting office-based staff with their equipment and environment. Assist other IT department members with project workload as requested.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Escalating IT issues to managers when necessary
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Assisting with IT projects as instructed by the IS Manager
- Providing desktop and server support
- Supporting and maintaining MS Desktops and Servers
- Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Installing authorized software on laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Applying security updates and upgrades to devices and keeping them current
- Fault finding on laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Completing internal user moves, including phones
- Patching network and phones
