Matcha are currently looking for a reliable General Foreman/Woman in Swindon.

Role Details:

  • Location: London (SN2 Area)

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-18:00
  • Pay Rate: £250-£350 depending on experience, qualifications and pay method

We are seeking a reliable and experienced General Foreman/Woman to work on one of our sites on Thames Water in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity to manage labour on a new project.

Role Overview:

As a reliable and experienced General Foreman/Woman, you will be managing labour and working with sub-contractors who will be completing installations of groundworks and sewage tanks. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties while maintaining exceptional safety standards, including:

  • Managing the sub-contractors' work to a high standard (quality of work is paramount)
  • Raising any issues to the sub-contractor and peers on the project
  • Able to read and understand drawings
  • Able to identify improvements and recommendations and implement them
  • Able to carry out tests to ensure quality of the sub-contractors' work
  • Following all health and safety procedures and RAMS

Requirements for the Foreman/Woman position:

  • Must hold Gold CSCS card as a minimum, ideally black managers CSCS card
  • Must hold a minimum SSSTS, ideally SMSTS
  • Ideally hold basic First Aid
  • Experience as a Foreman/Woman is essential
  • Experience in highway works is essential
  • Ideally, you would have worked with a tier 1 contractor before
  • PPE will be provided
  • Strong attention to safety and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
