We are seeking a dynamic Curriculum Manager for English and Maths (16-18) to help shape the future of post-16 education in East London. We are committed to giving every learner the skills and confidence to succeed - whether they’re progressing to university, apprenticeships, or employment. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to drive excellence across English and Maths, directly impacting student achievement, staff development, and curriculum innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Provide academic and operational leadership for our 16-18 English and/or Maths provision
- Lead and manage a team of teaching staff, fostering high performance and continuous professional development
- Oversee the design, delivery, and improvement of engaging, inclusive curricula
- Monitor teaching quality, student progress, and support intervention strategies
- Work closely with the Head of Department, support teams, and senior leaders to meet departmental and college-wide goals
- Teach 7 to 12 hours per week, maintaining a strong connection to classroom practice
What You’ll Bring
- A degree and a full teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- A proven track record of successful teaching and curriculum leadership in English and/or Maths
