Overview: We are currently seeking a Quarry Operative to join our team at Glenwherry Quarry.
As a Quarry Operative you will be performing a role thats key to assisting the extraction, crushing, and screening of stone products.
More about what you will do Perform all duties in a safe manner.
Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure the role is carried out without risk to self or others.
Complete daily prestart checks and safety inspections.
To prepare quarry face for the extraction, load material, feed crushing plant, control crushing plant and assist Quarry Supervisor / Manager as required To ensure aggregate stocks managed, kept clean and in correct areas To operate a loading shovel maintaining stockpiles, loading trucks or fixed plant To operate a dump truck to move materials from loading zone to stock or fixed plant To fuel up all plant daily To assist with repairs and cleaning during To inspect, clean and maintain plant and equipment daily and report faults to supervisor / manager.
To ensure environmental standards are maintained and spillages are prevented.
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
