Job Description

Azure Cloud Support Engineer: Our client is a market leading SaaS provider who due to sustained growth are seeking an Azure Cloud Support Engineer to join their team of technical specialists. Your main duties include:

  • Manage and support cloud deployments on Azure, ensuring efficient, reliable, and secure operations.
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated issues related to customer and application environments.
  • Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and address recurring issues.
  • Provide advanced technical support, ensuring timely resolution of complex incidents and drive continuous improvement.
  • Azure Cloud Management

Azure Cloud Support Engineer skills we seek are:

  • Proven experience in a third-line support or similar role, managing and troubleshooting Azure cloud-hosted solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Azure, including monitoring tools, resource management, and cost optimisation.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write, debug, and optimise queries.
  • Proficiency with C# for troubleshooting application code, debugging issues, and working with developers on issue resolution.
  • Solid understanding of application troubleshooting, including database and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar platforms.
  • Supporting a B2B Azure Cloud environment.

Desirable skills for the Azure Cloud Engineer include:

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident, problem and change management.
